My name is Olivia Gilmer-Chekosky and I am a bilingual Clinical Social Worker (MSW. RSW) & Yoga Teacher. I primarily work with young adults (16+) looking to be supported with their nervous system dysregulation, life transitions and trauma. I also have a special interest in working with Performing Artists.
I believe in a holistic approach to health and wellness and think it is crucial to look at the individual as a whole being capable of healing if given the tools, safety and time to do so. I strongly believe that most symptoms and patterns of behaviour stem from past experiences that the body and brain have held on to survive.
I have experience working in community, hospital and school settings and bring this knowledge and experience with me into my private practice.
I believe every individual has an inherent ability to heal and to come back to Self and I look forward to witnessing this process.
Through somatic approaches, yoga, EMDR or talk therapy, we will find what works for YOU!

Shelby Bamford, is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I have a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I have a passion for working with Adults (18 plus) who are grieving, experiencing anxiety, and/or who are burnt out. I use an individualized person-centered approach, to honor the uniqueness of your life experiences.
I use techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Grief Therapy, and Brainspotting, to name a few. It is okay if you do not know what all this entails, that is what I am here for.
I enjoy anything that comes to mind when you think of Autumn (cozy sweaters, bonfires, mazes, etc.). I bring some of those aspects into my therapy approach, wanting you to feel comfortable, relaxed, and open-minded to try different paths to see if they lead you out of the complex maze of your presenting concern.
Therapy is an ongoing process, as we gain deeper self-awareness it leads us into new perspectives, and often presents new concerns. We will start with a goal and see where it takes us. I look forward to seeing where your therapy journey leads you.
